I have seen a design for an item of jewellery that I liked online but want something slightly different? Are you able to make this?
Yes, we are certainly able to vary a design, as long as doing so would not weaken the setting holding the stones in place.
How long would it take for you to make my piece of jewellery?
Once you have agreed the design and chosen your stone/s we usually quote two weeks. If the design is more complicated we might need a little bit longer, especially during the Christmas period. However, if you need your item of jewellery sooner, please let us know as soon as you can and we will make every effort to accommodate you. We have, in exceptional cases, made items in one day!
What is your returns policy?
As your piece of jewellery is made to your individual specification, we cannot offer a returns policy. However, if there is anything you are not happy with – e.g. if a ring is too tight or too loose, or there is a rough edge which scratches – we will happily put it right until you are satisfied.
I am interested in a specific type of diamond can you supply it?
As fourth generation diamond merchants and members of the London Diamond Bourse and the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, we hold our own very substantial stock. We are situated within the London Diamond Bourse and thus are able to keep our overheads very low. In addition, we have very good contacts with other suppliers in the trade and are able to obtain any stone at very competitive prices and at substantially lower prices than retail.
Why should I buy from you?
For all the reasons set out above. And, because you will get the best possible price for your item – considerably less than you would pay in a shop – and individual attention and personal service for all your requirements for as long as it takes to make you happy. We work with the best designers, goldsmiths and setters to create beautiful pieces of jewellery.
I don’t know anything about diamonds. How do I know what I’m buying?
We are here to help, can provide a basic incite and general education about the basics of diamonds.
Why are some diamonds certificated and others not?
Only higher quality diamonds tend to be certificated and the better the stone – usually the better the certificate – e.g. GIA, HRD, IGI & EGL. Some diamonds will be certified by an inferior or cheaper laboratory locally – or will be graded by the very people supplying (not independently and hence biased). The other reason stones are not graded is b/c of the time involved – it can take several weeks and hence the restriction on cash flow for suppliers. In some cases it’s more confusing to have a cheap/low quality certificate and suppliers will find it easier not to bother providing one.
The stone you have advertised suits my needs – do I still need to come and see you?
Unless you feel you want to see it – otherwise we can work out the best price and a method of collecting payment.
We are uncomfortable purchasing a diamond online – can we come and see you face to face?
Of course – just get in touch and we’ll arrange a time to meet.
I am only available outside of office hours – can we still meet?
Please contact us to arrange a suitable time – we will try to accommodate for your needs.
Besides Loose diamonds – what else do you sell?
We also offer a range of bespoke jewellery including coloured stones, pears and watches.
Can you also supply a receipt?
We will provide an invoice, certificate for the diamond/s where applicable and if requested, for a small charge a valuation.
How can we pay?
Cash or bank transfer, cheques – but we can only release the jewellery if we have a bankers draft or when the payment has cleared.
